Seoul’s restaurant scene is growing quickly, expanding to include new and creative cuisine. While we don’t yet boost celebrity chefs, or mega million dollar food festivals, the capital city houses some fine places to grab a fork and dig in. From the glamour of the Hilton’s French restaurant Seasons to the diminutive Izakayas in the Ichon neighborhood, Seoul is slowly (almost painfully so) blossoming into a culinary capital.

While I’ve done my best to eat at as many restaurants as possible, there are too many out there for me to keep track of. If you have eaten at any of the restaurants listed and are interested in writing a blurb, send an email.

As of July 11, 2006 all information concerning the following pages was accurate. However, restaurants close, prices change, and service can go down hill. Call ahead and check.
